Admissions

Admission to Primary School September 2018

School Places - September 2018

If your child was born between 1 September 2013 and 31 August 20134, he/she should start school in September 2017.  You need to apply for a school place now.

If you live in Blackpool apply for a school or academy place online at:

www.blackpool.gov.uk/schooladmissions

OR you can complete a paper application form, available from

Blackpool School Admissions, tel 476637 or 476829

email schoolaccess@blackpool.gov.uk

Before you complete your application, you should read Blackpool Council’s ‘Admission to Blackpool Primary Schools, Guide for Parents’ – available on www.blackpool.gov.uk/schooladmissions

or you can request a copy from Blackpool School Admissions

Attendance at a Nursery is not taken into consideration.  If your child attends a Nursery that is attached to a school, he/she will not automatically move into the Reception class at that school.

If you pay your council tax to Wyre or Fylde, you need to apply online at www.lancashire.gov.uk, but you can still apply for a Blackpool school.

CLOSING DATE FOR PRIMARY APPLICATIONS

FOR SEPTEMBER 2018

15th JANUARY 2018

Do not leave it until the last minute!  Applications that are received after 15th January 2018 are dealt with separately, so you reduce your chance of gaining a place at your preferred school if you miss this deadline
