French in Autumn 1 so far...

To celebrate European Day of Languages we held a special assembly. We considered why we have a special day to celebrate differences in languages and how this might help us to be more tolerant (linking to British Values). We considered which of the Boundary Characteristics you would need to exhibit in order to learn a language. We finished with a language quiz and sang a greetings song in French. In French lessons this half term Year 6 have been learning about French grammar. Years 4 and 5 have been practising their key vocabulary and French phonics and Year 3 have begun their French learning with an introduction to France and basic French greetings.
