Before you complete your application, you should read Blackpool Council’s ‘Admission to Blackpool Primary Schools, Guide for Parents’ – available on www.blackpool.gov.uk/schooladmissions or you can request a copy from Blackpool School Admissions. Attendance at a Nursery is not taken into consideration. If your child attends a Nursery that is attached to a school, he/she will not automatically move into the Reception class at that school. If you pay your council tax to Wyre or Fylde, you need to apply online at www.lancashire.gov.uk, but you can still apply for a Blackpool school.

Admission to Nursery
Boundary Primary School Nursery is a maintained nursery class for children aged 3 and 4 years. We offer a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, play and develop their independence.
We can accommodate up to 26 children in each session:
Morning Session: 8:40am to 11:40am
Afternoon Session: 12:25pm to 3:25pm
Children typically attend either five morning sessions or five afternoon sessions each week.
All children are entitled to a funded 15-hour early education place from the term following their third birthday. New admissions generally take place at the beginning of the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms.
30 Hours Funded Childcare
Eligible working families may be entitled to up to 30 hours funded childcare per week during term time.

Once your application has been approved, you will receive an Eligibility Reference Number. This must be provided to the school office so that we can confirm your child's eligibility.
Making Full Use of Your 30 Hours
We aim to offer flexible arrangements that meet the needs of families wherever possible.
In some circumstances, parents may wish their child to attend for a full school day. Depending on the hours and attendance pattern agreed, there may be an additional charge for childcare provided outside of the funded entitlement hours, such as supervision during the lunchtime period. Any such charges will be explained clearly in advance and will be entirely optional. The funded entitlement itself remains free.
Parents and carers are encouraged to contact the school office to discuss their individual childcare requirements. In many cases, attendance patterns can be arranged so that children receive their full funded entitlement without additional childcare charges. Where children remain in school over lunchtime, the cost of a school meal may still apply unless a packed lunch arrangement is agreed.
We will work with families to identify the most suitable and cost-effective arrangement for their needs.
To meet the needs of our school community, we currently offer up to 10 funded 30-hour places. If all 30-hour places are not filled, remaining places may be offered to children requiring a 15-hour place.

We also offer wraparound childcare through our Before and After School Club.

Available for children attending morning sessions
After School Club

3:30pm to 5:30pm
£6.50 per day
Available for children attending afternoon sessions
Children accessing a 30-hour place may attend Breakfast Club, After School Club, or both, subject to availability.

Admissions
If the nursery is oversubscribed, places will be allocated according to the following criteria:
Children in public care (looked-after children) or children at risk of becoming looked after.
Children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) or exceptional Special Educational Needs requiring attendance at a particular setting.
Children with exceptional medical, social or welfare reasons for attending the nursery.
Children who have a sibling attending the school at the time of admission.
Children living closest to the nursery, measured by straight-line distance from the home address to the school.
