History Round Up
In Year 1, they have talked about their favourite toys and toys that are popular in the present day. They have also looked at different toys and talked about the age of children they were created for. They have sorted toys into different groups and began to look at the toys that arrived in our loan boxes. Next week when they will begin to compare old and new toys.
Year 2 used the Chromebooks to improve their digital literacy skills to label what life was like in the trenches. They used their previous knowledge and new learning to think about items in a trench, how soldiers spent their time and what the conditions were like.
Year 5 have been looking at Anglo-Saxons. They have been looking at why they invaded Britain and how Britain changed when they brought Christianity here. They also visited their very own Anglo Saxon museum, created with pieces loaned from a local Lancashire museum.
