Year 4 Update...
Year 4 have had a very busy and productive half term! In DT, the children showed great resilience while creating book lights using electrical systems—a challenging but rewarding task. In another DT project, they explored balanced diets and enjoyed designing and making their own blinis. In Art, they created beautiful tessellations and used computers to digitally copy and print their designs—they looked fantastic! In Maths, the children continued their work on fractions and decimals, deepening their understanding of tenths and hundredths. In Reading into Writing, they wrote descriptive short narratives inspired by Paperman, impressively using expanded noun phrases and fronted adverbials. In RE, the children learned about Islam and the significance of fasting during Ramadan. They also took part in a sweet sale to raise money for charity, demonstrating both compassion and initiative.
