Year 5 in Summer 1 so far...

This term in year 5 we have been planning to write an application letter. This will be used as a guide for an application for Takeover Day next half term. In Maths we have been learning about the properties of shapes, describing turns and different types of angles. Our Science journey is all about living things; in our first lesson we dissected a daffodil to find its different structures. In Geography we have been learning about the structure of planet Earth and what causes earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. In future lessons we will be finding out how these natural disasters affect the people who live near them. This term we are back out in our woodland area taking part in forest school, where we get time to explore and learn some outdoor skills and crafts.
