Year 2- Christianity
Date: 15th May 2025 @ 8:05am
What an exciting afternoon we had in Year 2! Rev Thompson came to visit, and he was absolutely brilliant at introducing our young learners to the fascinating symbols of Christianity. He shared the meaning behind each symbol with such enthusiasm that the children were captivated from the very start.
One highlight was when he explained the Holy Trinity—what a thoughtful concept for the little ones to grasp! The difference between a cross and a crucifix was another important lesson; the kids were intrigued to learn how these symbols each tell a part of the Christian story.
Rev Thompson also wore his dog collar, which sparked a lot of curious questions. He told the children how this symbol represents his role and commitment as a priest, which they found really inspiring. All in all, it was a lovely afternoon filled with learning, and our Year 2s now have a better understanding of Christianity. Thank you, Rev Thompson!
