Year 2- Playing percussion !

In Year Two, we looked at the skills of Listening and Appraising and Improvising. We listened to the song Boléro and thought about what we liked and disliked and linked it to the Elements of Music. We then got a range of percussion instruments and thought about what they sounded like, what the pitch was and if we liked and disliked them. We used our oracy skills and ABC to think about the different instruments. The children then had a go at playing the different instruments and improvising along to Boléro.
