Year 3- Year 3 Sikhism Online Visitor!

Today, we had an online session with a Sikh because in RE we are learning about Sikhism focusing on why are the Gurus important to Sikhs? Our online visitor showed us around the Gurdwara and taught us about his faith and explained why he commits himself to his faith. The tour around the Gurdwara allowed us to see and learn about what happens there and the importance of each room. This allowed us to learn about the importance of music within the religion, but also how it is a safe place for people and is used for events. He informed and showed us how the Guru Granth Sahib is treated and explained the importance of treating it with respect. We were able to ask him questions to link our understanding and learn more about Sikhism as he shared his experiences with us.
