Year 5 - Meet the Teacher

Thank you to those who were able to attend this session. Do not worry if you were not able to, here is some information which was shared during the Meet the Teacher session this week. 

• Overview for the year has been attached.
• Read at least 3 times a week with your child, this will help them grow in confidence as well as supporting them accessing all areas of the curriculum.
• Weekly BLT is set on a Friday and must be completed by the following Thursday. This will include differentiated Maths and English work which will be set using spag.com and maths.co.uk.
• Weekly spellings will be given out for the children to learn and they are expected to use Spelling Shed to support this. The children will be tested on a Friday.
• Half Termly project/creative homework. This will be given out on the first day back and be due on the final Monday of the half term.
• Children are expected to use the websites TimesTable RockStars and Maths Frame to support their learning of the Times Tables.
• If homework is not completed by the following Thursday morning, the child will be expected to complete it during their own time.
• BLT club is available for children to sign up to.
• Our P.E days will be Monday and Wednesday
