Year 5 - Pol-Ed: Police Visitor

Date: 21st Nov 2025 @ 3:36pm

Year 5 recently enjoyed a visit from PC Fitzgerald, who spoke with the class about the many ways police officers help keep our communities safe and support people in need. Building on what pupils have already learned through Pol-Ed and their class teachers, PC Fitzgerald explained how officers work every day to protect others, offer guidance, and respond when problems arise. He then led a deeper discussion about anti-social behaviour, helping the children understand what it is, why it can affect people’s lives, and how making positive choices can prevent harm in their local area. The session reinforced the important partnership between schools and Lancashire Constabulary in helping young people grow into responsible, respectful citizens.
