Year 5 - The Ghost Parade

Today we were listening and appraising. Next we reviewed the Elements of Music .To get us ready we warmed up by completing the copy back activities to find the pulse and named the notes onscreen. Using the Music listening Mats, we then listened to Ghost Parade and discussed the instruments we could hear. This song is in 20th and 21st  Orchestral style with vocal. To refresh our memories we looked at how an orchestra is set up and which instruments are in one. We listened to different instruments. Next we created a class mind map of our responses to the music. Finally we began to learn the lyrics to the song so that we could perform it.
