Reading Champions
At Boundary, reading is our passion and we share that passion with all our pupils and staff. We know that students who read develop greater understanding of the world in which they live, learn to appreciate how writers use language for effect and extend their vocabulary. To recognise the effort our children show in developing their reading we are proud to launch Boundary Reading Champions.
To be a Boundary Reading Champion you need to:
- Read your book regularly (read your 'Reading Champion' checklist in your reading diary for how often you need to read)
- Look after your book, keep it clean and show us you take care of it
- Be able to talk about the characters, the story, the facts and any interesting information you learn
Your Year Group has their own checklist of 'Reading Champion' expectations that you can check so that you know how to become a Boundary Reading Champion!
