This week in Acorns and Blossoms, our core word is “I feel.” We have been exploring this through a range of exciting multisensory activities linked to our sense of touch. The children have been encouraged to investigate different objects and materials and use the phrase “I feel” to describe their experiences. Using a variety of sensory resources, the children explored textures and sensations, discovering whether things felt cold, wet, spiky, bumpy, smooth, soft, or rough. Through these hands-on experiences, the children are developing their communication skills and developing their understanding of the world around them through touch.
