Blossoms - Maths

Date: 8th Oct 2026 @ 10:07am

In Blossoms class, we have been learning about different 2D shapes in our maths lessons. The children explored shapes such as squares, triangles, rectangles and circles through a range of practical activities. For our tuff tray activity, the children used lollipop sticks to create different shapes, helping them to recognise the number of sides and corners each shape has. This hands-on activity encouraged problem-solving, fine motor skills and shape recognition in a fun and engaging way. The children enjoyed building and comparing their shapes while developing their understanding of early mathematical concepts through play.
