Exploring Our New Year 1 Classrooms

What an exciting week it has been in Year 1! The children have settled in wonderfully and have been busy exploring their new classroom and the different learning areas available to them.

Throughout the week, the children have enjoyed spending time becoming familiar with their new environment. They have explored our reading corner, where they discovered a range of exciting books and stories, and have enjoyed visiting the creative area to draw, colour and create. The construction and small world areas have also been very popular, with children using their imaginations to build, investigate and play together.

As they explored, the children practised important classroom routines and learned where to find the resources they need. They have shown great independence by tidying away equipment, making thoughtful choices about their learning, and taking responsibility for their new classroom.

We have also spent time exploring our outdoor learning area. The children loved investigating the different resources available and working together through a variety of fun activities. It has been wonderful to see new friendships forming and confidence growing as the children become more familiar with their surroundings.

We are incredibly proud of how well the children have adapted to Year 1. They have approached every new experience with enthusiasm, curiosity and smiles on their faces. We look forward to another exciting week of learning and discovery ahead!
