Get Ready with Teddy: Building Strong Hands and Happy Hearts
Date: 7th May 2026 @ 10:58am
Our preschoolers have been having lots of fun with Get Ready with Teddy as they take important steps towards being school ready. Together with Teddy, the children have been busy building up their hand and finger strength through a range of playful, hands-on activities.
Developing strong hands and fingers is a vital stage of a child’s development and comes before learning to write. As these muscles grow stronger, children become more confident and independent, finding it easier to manage everyday tasks for themselves.
Alongside physical development, Teddy and the preschoolers have also been exploring feelings. We’ve been learning to recognise different emotions and talking about how sharing our feelings can sometimes feel tricky – for children and adults alike. Having plenty of opportunities to explore and express emotions helps children feel understood and supported.
Preschool have absolutely loved Getting Ready with Teddy, and we can’t wait to hear all about the adventures you and your own Boundary Bear have at home!
