Our nursery children had a wonderful day when the farm came to visit school. Excitement filled the air as the children eagerly waited to meet the animals and learn more about life on the farm.
There were lots of friendly animals to see, including a cow, sheep, goats, a donkey, a pony, chickens and rabbits. The children were fascinated by the different animals and enjoyed learning about where they live, what they eat and how they are cared for.
One of the highlights of the day was having the opportunity to gently stroke some of the animals. The children showed great care and respect, using kind hands and listening carefully to instructions. Many were surprised by how soft the rabbits felt, while others loved meeting the curious goats and friendly pony.
The visit provided a fantastic hands-on learning experience, encouraging the children to ask questions, share their ideas and develop their understanding of the world around them. It was lovely to see their confidence grow as they interacted with the animals and talked about their favourite parts of the day.
We would like to thank the farm staff for bringing such a wonderful experience to our nursery. The children had an amazing time and have continued to talk about the animals and their adventures ever since.
It was truly a day to remember! 🐄🐑🐐🐴🐔🐇
