Reception Celebrations

This week in Reception we have been talking about different traditions and celebrations.  We focused on Halloween and Bonfire Night- discussing how did people celebrate with their friends and families.  The children enjoyed discussingtheir family traditions explaining which celebration their prefered and why.

"I like bonfire night because you eat toffee aples" Noah

"I prefer halloween because I like going treat or trating and having parties" Lockie

"Halloween is fin because you dress you" Shiloh

The children emersed themselves in the different celebrations by taking part in a range of activities including carving pumpkins, making potions, collaging halloween theme pictures and even making their own bonfire night picture. Have a look at all the wonderful things we have been doing this week.
