🌳 Redwoods Class Blog – Terrific Toothpick Towers! πŸ—Όβœ¨

This week in Redwoods Class, we have been busy building amazing toothpick towers πŸͺ΅πŸ¦· after learning all about the famous Blackpool Tower πŸ—ΌπŸŒŠ!

We looked closely at pictures of the tower πŸ“Έ and talked about its structure, noticing the different shapes that help keep it strong, especially triangles πŸ”Ί. The children were fantastic at spotting these shapes and explaining why they might make the tower sturdy πŸ’‘πŸ‘.

Using toothpicks and marshmallows, we worked hard to design and build our own towers πŸ—οΈ. The children showed great creativity 🎨 and problem-solving skills 🧠 as they experimented with different shapes and structures. Some towers were tall and thin, while others were shorter but very strong πŸ’ͺ.

We also worked brilliantly together 🀝, sharing resources and helping each other improve our designs. It was wonderful to see such teamwork and determination 🌟.

Well done, Redwoods – your towers were incredible! πŸ—ΌπŸ‘βœ¨
