π³ Redwoods Class Blog – Terrific Toothpick Towers! πΌβ¨
This week in Redwoods Class, we have been busy building amazing toothpick towers πͺ΅π¦· after learning all about the famous Blackpool Tower πΌπ!
We looked closely at pictures of the tower πΈ and talked about its structure, noticing the different shapes that help keep it strong, especially triangles πΊ. The children were fantastic at spotting these shapes and explaining why they might make the tower sturdy π‘π.
Using toothpicks and marshmallows, we worked hard to design and build our own towers ποΈ. The children showed great creativity π¨ and problem-solving skills π§ as they experimented with different shapes and structures. Some towers were tall and thin, while others were shorter but very strong πͺ.
We also worked brilliantly together π€, sharing resources and helping each other improve our designs. It was wonderful to see such teamwork and determination π.
Well done, Redwoods – your towers were incredible! πΌπβ¨
