Regulation in Redwoods
Date: 14th Oct 2026 @ 4:58pm
This week, the children in Redwoods have been focusing on three important key words: resilience, communication and regulation.
We have explored these skills through a range of creative activities, giving the children opportunities to work together, solve problems and overcome challenges. One of the highlights has been completing LEGO challenges, including building towers and designing bridges.
The children demonstrated excellent communication by sharing their ideas, listening to others and working as part of a team. They showed resilience when their creations did not go to plan, persevering and trying different approaches until they found a solution. Throughout the activities, they also practised regulation by managing their emotions, taking turns and staying focused on the task.
We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, teamwork and determination shown by everyone this week. Well done, Redwoods! ⭐🧱🌉😊
