Boundary Primary School Council Elections 2026

Today, the whole school took part in the School Council Elections. Any child who wished to run for School Councillor had the opportunity to write a manifesto, explain why they would make a good representative, and present their ideas to their class.

After listening carefully to each candidate, the children took part in a secret ballot vote. The votes were then counted, verified, and the results announced during a special results assembly.

This activity provided a wonderful opportunity for children to experience the British Value of Democracy firsthand. They learnt that everyone has a voice, that different opinions should be respected, and that decisions can be made fairly through voting. By taking part in the election process, our pupils developed a greater understanding of how democratic systems work and the importance of making informed choices.

We are incredibly proud of all the children who worked hard to write and deliver their manifestos, listened respectfully to their peers, and participated in a fair and democratic election process.
