Science: Exploring Our Sense of Smell

This week in Science, the children explored their sense of smell. We identified the body part used for smelling and learned how our noses use receptors to send signals to the brain, helping us recognise where different smells come from.

The children also carried out a fun science experiment, using their sense of smell to identify different scents on cotton wool balls. They enjoyed making predictions and discussing the clues each smell gave them.

The children have thoroughly enjoyed learning about the senses so far and are developing their scientific thinking skills. They are becoming excellent young scientists! 🔬👃✨
