Show Racism the Red Card @ BFC

Date: 8th Oct 2026 @ 9:59pm

On Thursday 8th October, a group of our Year 6 pupils had the fantastic opportunity to attend the Show Racism the Red Card anti-discrimination event at Bloomfield Road, hosted by Blackpool FC Community Trust.

Throughout the day, pupils took part in inspiring workshops exploring racism, hate crime and allyship, learning how they can be positive role models and "upstanders" in their communities. They also enjoyed creative activities, designed anti-discrimination messages, and reflected on the importance of equality, inclusion and respect for all.

A highlight of the afternoon was a special Q&A session with Blackpool FC first-team and academy players, who shared their experiences and spoke to pupils about the importance of challenging discrimination and supporting others.

We are incredibly proud of how thoughtfully and respectfully our Year 6 pupils represented our school and look forward to sharing their learning with the rest of our school community. 🌟
