🌀🎨 Spiralling into Art! 🎨🌀

Year 1 have made a fantastic start to their exciting Spiral Art Journey! 🌟

To begin our learning, we explored a variety of spirals found in the world around us 🌍🐚🌻. The children carefully observed the different shapes, patterns and sizes of spirals and shared their ideas about where they had seen them before.

Next, we became artists and practised creating our own spirals using a range of materials, including chalk, pencils, crayons, paint sticks and felt-tip pens 🖍️✏️🎨. The children loved experimenting with different media and discovering the unique effects each one created.

To make our artwork even more expressive, we listened to classical music 🎶 while we worked. We discussed how the music made us feel and explored whether it changed the size, shape and movement of our spirals. Some children created large, sweeping spirals, while others drew smaller, more delicate patterns!

It was wonderful to see so much creativity, concentration and imagination on display. We can't wait to continue our Spiral Art journey and see where our artistic adventures take us next! 🌈✨🌀
