To mark the 80th Anniversary of VE Day, we joined together as whole school to take part in a live commemorative assembly. We heard from a veteran of World War II and used the time to reflect on all the sacrifices that were made by so many people in order to achieve peace. We also spent some time thinking of children around the world currently caught up in conflict and how it is impacting upon their lives.

Lunchtime was more of a celebratory event, where we listened to some music from the 1940's and enjoyed some delicious cupcakes made by our fabulous catering team.
