Welcome to Year 1!

We have had a fantastic first few days back at school. Our new Year 1 children have settled into their new classroom environments very well and we are proud of how well our children have adapted. Miss Kay and Miss Duckworth have enjoyed hearing about what children have been up to over summer and how much they have been looking forward to coming back to school!

This week we have been getting used to the new rules and routines in Year 1 and settling back into school life. We have taken parts in lots of different activities to explore our new environments. We have read 'The Colour Monster,' labelled the characters, retold the story, practised counting and recognising numbers and built models in our construction area.
