Year 1- Hinduism
Date: 14th May 2026 @ 3:44pm
This week in RE, we continued our learning about Hinduism and its religious traditions.
The children looked closely at murtis, linking this to last week’s learning when they had the opportunity to explore a Hindu home shrine. They were able to recall what they had previously learned and make thoughtful connections, showing a growing understanding of how Hindus worship.
To deepen their learning, the children then created their very own murtis using playdough. They showed fantastic creativity and care as they shaped their designs.
The children had a wonderful experience learning all about the different gods and goddesses, discussing why each one might be worshipped by different Hindus. They asked thoughtful questions and shared their ideas confidently, demonstrating great respect and curiosity.
We are so proud of their engagement and enthusiasm—well done, Year 1! 🌟
