Year 2- Rosa Parks!

As part of Black History Month, Year 2 have been learning about Rosa Parks and why she is such an important figure in history. We’ve read about her famous bus journey in guided reading and discussed her courage in standing up for equality.

The children are now writing diary entries from Rosa’s point of view, showing great empathy and understanding. We’re so proud of their thoughtful work and how inspired they’ve been by Rosa’s story!
