Year 2 have been busy up-levelling their writing by exploring verbs! 📚✨

We began by identifying and sorting verbs into different categories, thinking carefully about how we could choose more exciting and powerful verbs to make our writing interesting. 🤔💡 Instead of always using simple verbs such as walked or said, we explored alternatives that give the reader a clearer picture. 🌟

The children then put their new vocabulary into action by writing their own sentences, making thoughtful verb choices to add detail and excitement. ✍️📝
