Our Year 3 and 4 children have been developing their understanding of tens and ones using practical resources such as base ten blocks, counters and Numicon. These hands-on activities help pupils visualise place value, build numbers accurately and deepen their mathematical thinking. By exploring numbers in different ways, children are gaining confidence and strengthening the foundations needed for future learning in maths.
