Year 4 had a fantastic morning taking part in a wide range of exciting Sports Day events, showing great enthusiasm, determination and teamwork throughout. The children challenged themselves in activities such as speed bounce, balance tests, running races and the standing long jump, where they worked hard to improve their own performances and celebrate each other’s successes.

They also demonstrated excellent cooperation during team events like the water filling race, noughts and crosses race and cup stacking, encouraging one another and never giving up, even when things became tricky. From aiming carefully in archery and boccia to throwing with focus in the javelin, the children showed growing confidence and resilience in every activity they tried.

Throughout the morning, Year 4 truly embodied a growth mindset—having a go, learning from mistakes and striving to beat their own scores. Most importantly, they showed strong self-belief, supported their teammates brilliantly and had lots of fun along the way.
