Year 5 - Kinetic Letters
Date: 14th Oct 2026 @ 3:46pm
During our recent Kinetic Letters recap lesson, Year 5 children revisited two important letter families: the Three Friends Hold Hands family and the Jumper Family. The children practised forming these letters correctly, focusing on starting points, lead-ins and joins to help improve the fluency and consistency of their handwriting. Through a range of engaging activities, pupils discussed the similarities between the letters in each family and applied their learning to words and sentences. It was fantastic to see the children's confidence grow as they demonstrated neat presentation and a greater understanding of how letter families help make handwriting more efficient and automatic.
