Year 6 - No Pen Morning

Today was No Pen Day and once we again we had a focus on Oracy. We started the day with some discussions topics and talked to our partners about what we thought. We then opened up the discussion to the whole class and used our talk tactics to include everyone, including agree, build and challenge. In Guided Reading we looked at orally answering questions on given texts and challenged each other to give thorough answers. In Reading into Writing, we took part in a teacher model/shared write session on explanatory texts.
