Dear Parents/ Carers,

I’m writing to share some key information about the Year 6 SATs (Statutory Attainment Tests) for 2026.

SATs Dates for 2026

• The Year 6 SATs will take place from Monday, 11th May to Thursday, 14th May 2026.
• These tests are a statutory part of your child’s education in England, assessing progress in reading, maths, and grammar, punctuation and spelling.

How You Can Support Your Child Now

• Continue to support learning at home: Encourage your child to read regularly, practise maths, and complete their homework.
• Attendance is crucial: Please do not book any holidays (holidays are NOT authorised during school time) or appointments during the SATs week (11–14 May 2026). Full attendance ensures your child can take all the tests.
• Healthy routines: Make sure your child gets plenty of rest and eats a healthy breakfast each day so they are able to focus in school.

• If you have any questions or concerns in the meantime, please contact your child’s class teacher
• We will be holding a meeting later in the school year for all Year 6 parents and carers.
