Inclusion Quality Mark

At Boundary Primary School, we are proud to have been awarded the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) Inclusive School Award, recognising our deep commitment to ensuring that every child and family feels valued, supported and included. iqm-banner.jpg

Inclusion at Boundary is not an add-on — it is at the heart of everything we do. The IQM report highlights that our school has built a “warm, highly relational and increasingly sophisticated model of inclusive mainstream practice,” where children are supported to thrive both academically and personally.

The assessor recognised that Boundary is a place where children are not defined by their challenges, but are empowered to succeed and grow in confidence, with staff, families and the wider community working together to remove barriers and create opportunities.

Key Strengths

  • A deeply embedded inclusive ethos
Inclusion is described as “the defining feature of the school’s identity, culture and daily practice.”

  • Strong, visionary leadership
Leaders demonstrate a clear moral purpose and adapt provision carefully to meet the changing needs of pupils and families.

  • High-quality, inclusive teaching and curriculum
The curriculum is ambitious and accessible, ensuring no child receives a reduced offer. Teaching is adaptive, reflective and tailored to individual needs.

  • Exceptional behaviour and pastoral support
A highly effective relational approach supports pupils to regulate, engage and succeed, creating a calm and purposeful environment.

  • Outstanding relationships with families
Parents describe the school as compassionate, supportive and central to the wider community.

  • Rich opportunities for all pupils
A wide range of enrichment activities ensures every child can participate, develop talents and build confidence.
